10 Ways To Start & End Your Day Well

Here are 10 ways you can start and end your day well and on a positive note like every other successful leader.

1. Fresh Start

Begin each and every morning with a nice and refreshing shower, one that will awaken you instantly. It will help get rid of any drowsy feelings that you have when you need to get out of bed and can’t. You may also want to brush your tongue for one minute to get rid of morning breath.


2. First Meal – Breakfast

Drink lots of fluids – water, milk, tea etc. This will help keep you hydrated and aid in you achieving healthy skin. Remember: breakfast is the most important meal of the day as it helps build energy that you will need to stay fresh and motivated throughout the day.


3. Read a Motivational Quote with Breakfast

This could provide a framework for how well the rest of the day goes, a sort of self-talk that keeps you driven in the right direction as opposed to the negative things you hear in the news.


4. Stay Positive

Surround yourself with only positive people. Try to stay away from negative conversations and gossip mongers.  If someone annoys you, don’t react, but attempt to refocus the conversation on the positive matters.


5. Be Nice To Everyone

If you are kind to everyone, the people around you will return the favor and do the same. Kindness helps maintain peace and aids in thinking positively.


6. Have Patience

No day goes without both the good and bad in it. You need to be patient and somehow condition yourself to adapt to changing environments. Losing your patience often leads you to have a horrible day.


7. Analyze Your Day

At the end of each day, analyze the good things that happened to you. As well, look at things you can do to make tomorrow an every better day. Commit yourself to improvement and to never look back at what is now history.


8. Listen to Music

Music can calm you down or amp you up. Choose the right tunes, something relaxing that you love and that will wind you down. Here is 20 minutes of deep relaxation music.


9. Read a book

While watching TV can be super-stimulating and may negatively affect how you sleep at night, reading a book is one of the best way to fill the last hours before bed.  Mind Over Medicine by Dr. Lissa Rankin is a good place to start.


10. Sleep Well

Sleep patterns form an important component of success in leadership. Contrary to all the myths surrounding the world’s successful people’s crazy and bizarre sleep patterns, the majority of leaders who are successful follow what becomes a lifestyle pattern – watch their sleep.
