Facebook was down for some of its users this afternoon. This is the second outage in less than a week.
The company’s shares were also down nearly 4% at $89.25.
Facebook’s map on downdetector.com, which monitors disruptions, showed major outages all across North America and other parts of the world. it was down for 42 minutes.
The social network’s mobile app was not working as well, but Messenger services seem to be up and running
A message displayed on facebook.com said: “Sorry, something went wrong. We’re working on it and we’ll get it fixed as soon as we can.”
Facebook suffered a similar outage last Thursday when it was down in North America, Europe, Australia and India.
