The world of journalism is in mourning today.

Two WDBJ7 employees were shot and killed in Virginia this morning while conducting a live interview and authorities said the suspect appeared to be a disgruntled employee of the TV station.  The reporter Alison Parker, 24, and the cameraman, Adam Ward, 27, died on scene. The woman being interviewed was wounded.

The suspected shooter, Vester Lee Flaniga, later posted videos on Facebook and Twitter that appear to show the shooting from the shooter’s perspective. He later shot himself on I-66 in Faquier County after police pursuit.
