I came across the Instructional Strategies Playlist resource on Twitter, which was created by Lead4Ward. All listed strategies make learning engaging for students and provide them with purposeful practice without penalty. The strategies can also be used for assessment (for and as) purposes as they allows teachers and peers to see and hear each others’ thinking.
Click the image below for a detailed description of each activity. My favourite activites so far are the ones from the Movement and Discourse Playlist section. After each activity, students are exposed to some music and dance. A great way to integrate some arts learning.
No more lectures! No more boring lessons that has students sitting and waiting for lunch to start.
